Kelemahan & Kelebihan Pasukan

Secara garis besar, seluruh Civilization mempunyai jenis pasukan yang sama seperti:  hampir semua bangsa mempunyai halberdier, scout, skirmisher, namun Civilization Turki, Saracen, dan Aztecs tidak sampai halberdier. Setiap bangsa mempunyai pasukan elite (unik) dari castle dengan kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing. Ada juga bangsa yang mempunyai kelebihan dibidang pembangunan ekonomi dan kelautan.

Setiap kelebihan suatu negara harus dimanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin pada waktu dan tempat yang tepat. Contoh sederhana, Paladin dapat dikalahkan oleh 2-3 halberdier yang jika dihitung dari segi ekonomi tentu saja merupakan kerugian besar jika paladin digunakan untuk melawan halberdier. Berikut ini adalah beberapa contoh kelebihan dan kekurangan berbagai jenis pasukan darat yang telah full upgrade.
  1. Pasukan Inpantri (Champion, halberdier) kalah oleh pemanah/ archer kecuali Hurskarl (GOTH), Eagle (Aztect dan Mayan), dan Berserk (Viking), mereka lebih kuat.
  2. Archer kalah oleh pasukan berkuda (Cavalier dan Paladin) dan Skirmisher.
  3. Pasukan Berkuda dan Gajah kalah oleh halberdier kecuali Catapract (Byzantines)
  4. Semua pasukan infantri kalah oleh paladin kecuali halberdier dan Teutonic
  5. Semua Infantri kalah oleh Catapract (Byzantines)
  6. Catapract kalah oleh Paladin, Gajah dan Unta.
  7. Paladin kalah oleh Unta, gajah, dan Teutonic.
  8. Semua pasukan infantri kalah oleh Scorpion kecuali Eagle dan Woad Reader (Celta)
  9. Scorpion kalah oleh pasukan kuda seperti Paladin, Catapract dan Eagle Warior.
  10. War Wagen (Korea) kalah oleh skirmisher, Hurskarl, dan Eagle dengan mudah.
  11. Semua pasukan infantri kalah oleh Janissary (Turks) dengan jumlah banyak.
  12. Janissary kalah oleh skirmisher dan onager.
  13. Semua pemanah dapat dimusnahkan secara masal dengan onager.
  14. Semua halberdier dari berbagai bangsa kalah oleh pikeman Aztects.
  15. Jaguar dapat mengalahkan semua infantri kecuali Teutonic dan Samurai.
  16. Semua Pasukan dapat di-convert oleh Monk apalagi Monk-nya Aztects
  17. Dan banyak lagi

  3. Bombar Canon
  4. Siege Onager
  5. Elite War Elephant (Persians) 
  6. Elite Tarkan (Hun)
  7. Elite Catapract (Byzantines)
  8. Paladin
  9. Elite Hurskarl (Goths)
  10. Elite Samurai (Japanese)
  11. Elite Berserk (Viking)
  12. Elite Jaguar Warior (Aztecs)
  13. Elite Teutonic (Teuton)
  14. Champion

Pasukan yang lemah melawan castle, tower, dan town center berisi :

  4. Husar/ Scout

  8. Elite Warwagon

Masih banyak kelebihan dan kekurangan dari berbagai Civilization, silakan emukan sendiri.
