Tips Nonton Record

Setelah kita bertarung dan bertempur dalam permainan Age of Empires 2, sebaiknya kita meluangkan waktu sekitar 5 sampai 10 menit untuk melihat record (rekaman) permainan yang baru selesai. Di network hamachi biasanya record AOE 2 dilihat dan dipelajari sambil nunggu BUS berikutnya (nunggu ada yang create). Pelajari dan introspeksi kesalahan yang kita buat, lihat juga perkembangan musuh kemudian bandingkan dengan perkembangan kita.

Jadikan teknik para master atau jenderal sebagai contoh. Perhatikan kapan mereka melakukan upgrade ekonomi, upgrade militer, dan upgrade zaman. Teknologi apa yang pertama kali di-upgrade. Berapa jumlah villager sebelum upgrade zaman, dan sebagainya.

Menurut beberapa master AOE 2, siapa yang melakukan penyerangan duluan, kemungkinan untuk menang lebih besar dibanding pihak yang bertahan. Untuk apa bikin pasukan kalau dibiarkan tanpa tugas yang jelas, rugi kita ngurus mereka , ngasih makan mereka, dan ngegaji mereka..LOL. Jangan menunggu Siege Unit atau Trebuchet, apalagi membiarkan teman kita hancur duluan diserang musuh. Bantu dong....!, jangan dibiarkan ngetem, menunggu sampai banyak, atau menunggu di-upgrade. Kenapa ? Sudah dapat dipastikan pasukan musuhpun belum di-upgrade, kalaupun sudah pasti pasukannya sedikit. Logikanya 5 knight yang belum di-upgrade bisa mengalahkan 3 knight yang sudah di-upgrade.
