The Sim adalah PC game mengenai kehidupan sebuah keluarga seseorang dengan karakter tertentu. Selain offline kini game The Sims dapat dimainkan online. Pemain dapat menyempatkan diri untuk memainkan game ini dengan membangun personality yang baik agar memperoleh pekerjaan dan jabatan yang bagus.

Permainan online ini juga mempunya Mode Cheat untuk bersenang senang seperti intelegensi, uang, kekuatan, pistol, dan lain-lain.  Defaultnya uang (cash) yang dimiliki adalah 100. Pemain juga dapat memilih bagian scene game yang diinginkan.
